Today we left Market Bosworth after staying here for 2 nights. We filled up with water, our next stop was Shenton. Here we walked down to the old rail station where on a weekend you can take a ride on a steam train. We passed the field where Richard 3rd was said to have been killed. We then walked up to the pretty village of Shenton it had lovely thatch cottages and a very nice antiques centre, mainly junk but interesting to see. Had lunch in the cafe at this centre.
Walked back to the boat and set off for Sutton Wharf. Tonight we have moored at Dodwell bridge and walked to Morrisons supermarket, it was 6k round walk. So together with this mornings 2 hr walk we are feeling quite tired now. No TV reception so a quiet evening reminiscing.
Tomorrow we shall moor Blue Moon back at Trinity Marina for the weekend . We have hired a car and will go to Wales to see my mother in law.
